Lion in a coma, lion in a coma

I just moved back to Sydney from Tasmania, and I'm so glad its the weekend, I'm exhausted.

I went to JB hifi last week and bought Animal Collective's Merriweather Post Pavillion (and the cute guy at the counter said it was a great album ;]).
I can't stop listening to it, I love it. I definately reccomend it.

And the cover trips me out.

Also, there are leaked dates of a couple of Animal Collective shows in Australia!

I can't wait. They're one of my favourite artists at the moment.
11th of December is too far away.

Ég er að læra íslensku!

Iceland. What a beautiful country.
They've got beatiful music too- Sigur Ros and Björk. (Not to mention Sin Fang Bous, Parachutes, Seabear, Múm, etc.)

I'd love to visit one day.

I've even started to teach myself the language.
Well, I'm trying.
Its kind of hard though, there aren't that many websites.
Guess its not that popular.

I like how it doesnt make a big deal out of itself though, like its quietly beautiful.
Thats my interpretation of Iceland anyway.
Ísland er dásamlegt land.

There's one in all of us.

think we all know what will be the movie of the year...
where the wild things are!

the trailer looks amazing [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--N9klJXbjQ].
i felt so nostaligic and emotional watching it.

obama reading his
favourite book
its directed by Spike Jonze, the book's a classic, and to top it off the soundtrack includes the arcade fire and the music's composed by karen o.
i even heard a rumour that bradford cox (deerhunter) was also composing, but i'm not sure if thats true.

cannot wait.
[other movies to look forward to: s. darko, alice in wonderland, 500 days of summer, paper heart, astro boy!]

do you eat toothpaste for dinner?

decided to dedicate my second post for my favourite webcomic, toothpastefordinner.com.

it pretty much wins at producing smart webcomics that are relevant and funny.

and the illustrations are kewt. "artist often draws people with misaligned eyes, and only three, flipper-like fingers." [thanks wikipedia]

kinda makes me hate my local newspaper even more, seeing as they got rid of their best comic [monty] and replaced it with a freakin superhero comic.

AND they kept Hagar the Horrible.
[miss you monty]

think i would fail at writing a daily comic.
guess it would be hard to keep finding relevant memes and make something funny out of them.
guess i'm not that creative.

anyway, what i love about toothpaste for dinner is that it has that kinda humour that makes you think "LOL i get that, wonder if anyone 'gets it' like i do".
i thought the same about The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. love that book/series/movie.

so, next time, instead of turning to the comic/crossword section of your newspaper, go to toothpastefordinner.com - 'the most addictive comic on the web'.
